You Could Have Heard a Pin Drop

I dare say there are very few people who have the ability to make our chat room freeze, but that’s exactly what happened when Lily Corrales joined us this evening on SpouseBUZZ Talk Radio. At one point, I had to check in with the chatters to see if they were still there. You could have heard a pin drop. They were transfixed, and utterly impressed with Lily.

Lily Corrales is an Army wife whose husband faces premeditated murder charges stemming from the death of an Iraqi. How does a spouse handle the reality that her husband could potentially face the death penalty? Well, if I’m ever in Lily’s shoes, I can only hope to possess a small portion of her strength and composure. Lily is an incredible advocate for her husband. Click to listen.

I just listened to this podcast today during my morning run. I am blown away by Lily's strength, and I'm so torn up for their family. I hope I can find some small way to help.

  2. I really feel for anyone serving over there and their families. I am an Army wife. My husband has served in the Army for 8+ years and is on his second Middle East deployment. He is currently in pretrial confinement in Kuwait and is accused of murdering an Iraqi/Al Qaeda insurgent. His deployment was difficult enough for our children and me before this happened. My thoughts go out to everyone affected by this war. My husband's case is further described at: http://www.freewebs.com/leonardotrevinolegalfund
