Last week was kind of bad. The Marine Corps had a bad week, that’s for sure. There really aren’t enough suitable words to describe what that battalion is going through right now. Because of this, I added new members to my Marine Corps family. They seem up to the test though and that’s a good thing.
I wrote a post about how last week started for me. It sure wasn’t pretty. My week didn’t end well either.
Got into an argument with Lancelot about everything and nothing. He left yesterday on another one of his globetrotting trips and we hadn’t really reconciled yet. It happens.
This next week promises a mixed bag of stuff. Lancelot will come home from exotic locales. Dark Prince will turn 22 in Iraq on Friday. Buster, the wonder kitty, will celebrate his 8th year with us on the same day.
I guess life is like this. Little bit of good, little bit (this week..whole lot ) of bad…up to you how it’s characterized. Is it good? Is it bad? Most likely, it’s both but geez…
I dunno. I do know I need a palate cleanser. Music always does it for me so here’s my contribution Yeah..I know…the hair.
Chime in with your palate cleanser. God knows…I could use it and perhaps someone else could too.

I look up stupid pop music videos on Youtube and dance around my house. I also have been known to beat feet over to a girlfriend's house to share laughter, a few drinks and sometimes a few tears. I love my husband and have a blast spending time with him, but there's something about hanging out with the ladies that just makes me a better person. That's what I do. Playing with the puppy helps too :-)
SFW, yet another surprise from you!
The best therapy for me is going to be early and then letting the kids get their own breakfast while I sleep in. Even if it does take twice as long to clean up afterwards!
Also, an afternoon or evening with one of those special friends that always keep you laughing.

Ok… guilty pleasure – either some incredibly sappy chick flik..or Bon Jovi – play it LOUD and dance…
Some weeks, it just sucks. I remember those – and it was the friends and the chocolate. really. milk chocolate, above mentioned guilty pleasures, and some days – a good weep, let it out, then pick up and stick a smile on your face (makes 'em wonder)
You got my phone number, if you need to vent – have at it! I'm here.

Popcorn and M&M's, chick flik and good friends, cry alittle and dance alot.
It's good to know that milspouses are here to give support to one another. And that's one of the many great reasons why I added this site to my blog. Hope you can visit my blog. Thanks a lot.
I'm with the laughter lobby!!! Going through seasons of Frasier is what gets me chuckling (or perhaps chortling?) and back on the happy train from tearing-my-hair-out-ville… yoga is great if I'm feeling dumpy and need balance and serenity instead of distraction. Back to the freshening distraction, though, there's always Pillow Talk – that movie still just cracks me up, and I've seen it a million times. Hope you have a better week!!!
Give your ol' neighbor and pal a call… one day at a time girl! Cleanse your palate with vino in the evening and coffee in the morning!!
Some weeks just seem never ending. They say "roll with the punches" but sometimes the punches keep coming so fast you feel laid out and rollings not possible. I always find a nice long hot soak in a bubble bath can help. One day at a time is right
