Memorial Day: Take Time to Remember

section-60-570x200

On Memorial Day we set aside time as a nation to remember those who fell in service to our country.

“We will never forget,” we say, and yet for almost every day of the year the truth is that we get caught up in the mundane details of our lives and we do too easily forget.

Remembering and honoring require purposeful action. And that’s what Memorial Day is for. It’s for stepping back, acknowledging the sacrifice and honoring the lost.

While you enjoy your day with your family take some time to remember those who died so that we may be free.

On Memorial Day -- and every day -- we remember.

Can we stop being so preachy? Really? When someone wishes you happy memorial day, the correct response is ‘thank you’. Then enjoy the BBQ. Don’t attempt to bring others into a state of depression.
