Poll: How do You Celebrate Flag Day?

OK, so we’ve never really “celebrated” Flag Day either. But we do like to take a second to recognize the Stars and Stripes on June 14, its own special day of the year. Whether it’s by obnoxiously humming flag songs all day long or by playing flag police and bringing the pain to anyone who isn’t keeping their flag waving strong, we are on top of it.

So how do you recognize Flag Day? Take our little poll below and then check out the results.

It's a day like sweetest day. In other words, it's not significant. We have enough days of recognition. Besides, it's not the flag that is important it's what we as citizens do for the country.

June 14th also happens to be the birthday of the US Army. Happy 237th to all the "Dogfaces" !

Flag etiquette should be followed by all Americans. When President Obama was in Afghanistan, he gave a speech in front of two Army vehicles. The flag was draped on the side of the vehicle against flag rules.
On a vehicle the flag shall be flown on the corner of the vehicle and not draped from any side. Maybe some of our service members should have a refresher on flag etiquette.
